Dogs within the Township, three (3) months of age and over, must be licensed.  When a dog reaches three (3) months of age, the license fee is pro-rated.  The Township limits the number of dogs per household to three (3). You may apply for a license in person or by mail.

When applying by mail, please provide your name, address and telephone number along with the dog’s name, colour, breed, sex, age, the license fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope.  Anti-rabies vaccine is no longer a requirement. It is unlawful to allow dogs to run uncontrolled in the Township.  All dogs on Township property (including road allowances) must be leashed and must be wearing a current dog tag.  Dogs that are running at large will be picked up and impounded.

***Please Note***
Dogs are now prohibited on the Ramara Centre property (including the sports fields) and in some Township Parks.  Please watch for and obey the signs.

Rabies vaccination clinics are held in the fall each year.  Notice of date and time will be published in local papers and on our web page. Notices are posted at the Corporate Services Office and both Township Libraries.
